Avid Carp Fishing Surface Spod

This ingenious design is another gem from the mind of Jon 'Shoes' Jones. The Surface Spod casts just like a normal spod, but is intended to introduce floaters. The weight is in the nose, so it will land up-ended when it hits the water. The buoyant ball, which rolls freely inside the spod, will then rise to the top, releasing your floating baits easily. The Surface Spod will empty itself, there's no need to pull the line, providing perfect surface bait presentation at range. You'll never think about floater fishing the same way again.
